My Inspiration ❤️

Sunday 3rd May
Cancer has changed my family’s life forever, and that is why taking part in this challenge means so much to me.

My mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2022, and it was one of the most frightening times we have ever faced as a family. Shortly after, my Auntie was also diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Seeing two of the most important women in my life facing such devastating news at the same time was heartbreaking beyond words.

Watching someone you love go through surgeries, treatment, and so much uncertainty is something that stays with you forever. There were days filled with fear and worry, but also strength, hope, and determination. Thanks to the incredible care and treatment from The Royal Marsden, my mum is still here with us today, and that is something I will never stop being grateful for.

Sadly, we lost my Auntie in May 2023. She was the heart and head of our family in every way. She was a beautiful soul, truly irreplaceable, and the person everyone turned to. She was like a second mum to me, always there with love, guidance, and support. Losing her shattered our world, and the truth is, we are still not healed from that loss now. Her absence is felt every single day.

In September 2025, I also sadly lost my work colleague Lynn after her brave fight with brain cancer. She was such a lovely person, one of a kind and her loss affected so many people who knew and loved her.

Cancer takes so much. It brings fear, heartbreak, and pain that never fully leaves. But it also shows you strength, love, and the importance of every single moment.

That is why I am taking on this 15-mile for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
I am doing this for my mum, for my Auntie, for Lynn, and for everyone who has been affected by cancer. I am doing this for the people still fighting, for the families standing beside them, and for the loved ones we carry in our hearts every day.

The Royal Marsden is an incredible place that gives people hope when they need it most. The doctors, nurses, and researchers do life-saving work every day, and I have seen firsthand how much of a difference they make.
Every donation helps fund vital research, better treatments, and care that changes lives.

If you are able to donate, share my page, or simply support me along the way, it would mean so much to me. Every step I take will be for those we are still fighting for, for those we have lost, and for those who will need that fight in the future.

Thank you so much for your support ❤️❤️
