Walking with Hope: Supporting The Royal Marsden and Life Saving Cancer Care
This year, I am taking part in the Banham Marsden March to support The Royal Marsden — a world leading cancer centre that provides exceptional care while driving groundbreaking research into life saving treatments.
This walk is deeply personal. My mum is currently undergoing treatment again for Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and without the incredible doctors, nurses, and research teams at centres like The Royal Marsden, many of the treatments she has received simply would not exist. Their expertise, compassion, and commitment make a real and tangible difference to patients and families during the most challenging times.
Our walk is also inspired by Emily, who is part of our team and has her own personal experience of being treated at The Royal Marsden. Her journey is a powerful reminder of just how vital this work is and how many lives are touched by the care provided there.
By donating to my page, you are directly supporting world-class cancer care and the research that helps save lives — not just today, but for generations to come. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring hope to patients and families everywhere.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can make a difference.

A Sunny 14km Training Walk with Luna 🐾
Saturday 14th MarTraining for The Marsden March has officially begun, and this week Luna and I set out on a planned 14km loop around the local area.
Today couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was shining and Luna was more than ready to get going. Anyone who knows her will know that the moment the lead comes out she is fully committed.
Our route took us through some beautiful spots including Kenley Airfield and back in my old neighbourhood Riddlesdaown before looping back toward Purley and Farthing Downs. It was one of those walks where you’re reminded how lucky we are to have such amazing countryside right on our doorstep.
Part of the plan for the day was to meet up with Emily, who is part of the group of us taking on The Marsden March together in May. She came along with her son George and their gorgeous puppy Rocky, and we all met at Happy Valley. The dogs had a brilliant time, and it was lovely to catch up while reminding ourselves exactly what we’re training for.
After a good walk, we finished the day the only way that felt appropriate with a well earned glass of wine at The Fox. Training definitely deserves a small reward!
The only downside of an otherwise perfect day? I made the mistake of wearing socks that were a little too big. By the end of the walk my feet were definitely feeling it, and I’ve learned a valuable lesson for the longer training walks still to come.
Every step of these training walks is a reminder of why we’re doing this. In May we’ll be walking 24km for The Marsden, raising money to support the incredible work they do. If you’re able to donate even just £1 or £2 it would mean so much and will help make a real difference.
Thank you for supporting us as Luna and I keep putting in the miles. 🐾

February Update ..
Friday 27th FebI kicked off my Marsden March page back in early January, and I’ve already been blown away by the generosity and support coming in. A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Your kindness will help make a real difference.
Now, full transparency… I haven’t exactly started “official” training for the walk yet 😅 BUT I have moved house! Surely all those trips back and forwards carrying boxes count as endurance training? I’m calling it functional fitness at its finest.
With spring just around the corner, there’s plenty of time to clock up some proper training miles between now and the walk in May.
If you’ve been thinking about donating, it’s never too late to join in and support this amazing cause.
