Walking for Alastair
Alastair was one of my closest friends, taken from us far too soon after a heroic 4.5-year battle with stage 4 germ cell cancer.
Al was a dedicated nutritionist, an avid gym-goer, and one of the funniest, most charismatic and creative people I’ve ever known. Even through his illness, he lived life in full technicolour - with relentless positivity, courage, and an unwavering will to keep going.
His strength and outlook have changed me. He’s inspired me to be more generous, to live each day like it truly matters, to love more openly, and to find joy and laughter wherever I can.
This will be my second time walking the Marsden March in his honour and memory.
We love you, Al. We miss you every day.
