Walking for, with and in memory of my family.

Friday 8th May
My first experience of cancer came as a 9-year old when my nan came to live with us shortly before she died.  Watching her suffer had a profound effect on my life.  Since then many family members, friends and colleagues have had to undergo various different types of treatment because of this most callous of diseases.  My parents were two such people and I'll be forever thankful to the care they received at the hands of The Royal Marsden.  My mum recovered, my dad & my aunt are still being treated but sadly my mother-in-law passed away in New Zealand a few years ago.  

And so on Sunday I'll be walking with my family, for my family and remembering my family at the same time.
