Walking for my nan

Monday 13th Apr I am walking in memory of my beautiful nan who fought bowel cancer three times. My nan was the bravest and strongest women i know, she cared for her husband who had cancer, who was taken from us 16years ago. I saw my nan take each day as it came and often in bed days/ weeks at a time yet would always have a smile on her face and would never show the pain she was in. I always remember her saying 'you will not be my carer ' myself, my sister and mum become her carers being with her everyday until she took her last breath. Showing her the care and gratitude that she did for my grandad and following her wishes to stay at home and not to go into a Hospice.  Share
