Together we walk!
For those that know me, talking about my personal life is not something that I'm not that open about, so this is a rare occasion! I lost my Mum to cancer at the young age of 4 and I would be lying if I said that this hasn't effected the way I am in life. It was difficult growing up without having the support of that female role model to look up to and it still gets me emotional talking about it to this day.
Unfortunately the sad story doesn't end there as my partner's Mum who suffered from cancer last year has sadly been given the bad news that it's back, and it's terminal. We're not sure how long terminal means as that all depends on the success of the treatment, but we'll be sure to make the most of every day we have.
So when I was asked if I wanted to take part in a 15 mile walk for the Royal Marsden next year, it was a no brainer. I want to make a difference and contribute to the developing cancer research this amazing hospital do, and hope that one day it can save someone else growing up without a Mum, a Dad, or any close friends/family that have been effected. So 6 of us will together walk for the Royal Marsden hospital, in memory of my Mum Maxine.
I would be really grateful if you could please support my cause, every penny makes a difference!
