The Banham Marsden March can only happen thanks to you!

The Banham Marsden March relys on the amazing support of our team of volunteers, and you could be one of them!

The Banham Marsden March is our annual flagship fundraising event where thousands of our dedicated supporters walk either 5 or 15 miles between the two hospital sites in Chelsea and Sutton. Our incredible walkers have raised over £16 million for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity since the event began in 2011. We couldn’t have achieved any of this without the support from our incredible volunteers.

What you’ll get as a volunteer:

  • A t-shirt to wear on the day and refreshments
  • Support and guidance from our dedicated team, including a pre-event briefing
  • An opportunity to be part of an exciting day in the local community and meet fellow volunteers and walkers
  • The chance to learn new skills and gain new experiences in events
Most importantly, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds to transform the lives of cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and across the UK.

Still buzzing from my volunteering stint at the finish yesterday!! I somehow became unofficial photographer by the Marsden lights!

It was brilliant to meet so many walkers. It was so inspiring, and sometimes very emotional, taking photos for you all and reading and listening to your reasons for walking.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone who walked and donated so more people can receive the excellent care I had from the Marsden.
