Together we walk!
Whilst undertaking the Trailwalker Challenge (for the third time) in 2017 I was forced to pull out after 43 miles due to a lack of energy, what we hadn’t realised was that this was the prelude to my cancer diagnosis.
As you are no doubt aware in 2017 it was identified that I had a Sarcoma (cancer) in my left arm. After successful radio therapy the Sarcoma was successfully removed by the excellent surgeons at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
On 11th May 2015 three friends and I are taking part in the Marsden March; walking 15 miles from the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Hospitals such that they can continue their excellent work in both researching and treating all types of cancer.
I’m walking to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. By donating to my page, their nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. Together, we can transform the lives of cancer patients. Please support me today.
Good luck Digby. I’m sure you will complete this walk at a canter. Do have a blast.
