We Smashed 7 Miles in Practice Today!

So excited to tell you…. What started out as a gentle stroll around Wakehurst on a chilly but bright April morning; ended with us managing a whole 7 miles up and down sometimes steep footpaths, through beautiful camellias, azaleas and magnolias! We exceeded our Marsden March target of five miles on only our second practice run! I’m well chuffed!! Just got to persuade these achey bones to do it again!!🎉🤞🏼🫶🤣😂

What a great start! 
We exceeded our Team Fundraising Target on Day 1, thanks to all of you!
We also had our first training session on Wednesday; and with the help of Nell and Theo, we smashed 3.5 miles!
Lots more training to go for me to get up to a reasonable fitness level to go 5 miles without stopping; but it’s only 6 months since my back surgery, so I’m getting there (with Mike’s brilliant support)!😘

My reasons for fundraising……

Monday 26th Jan
The Royal Marsden have been helping Mike with his Prostate Cancer treatment for a few years now; and it’s time to give something back!
I’m in training to get fitter, so I can do the last 5 miles of the 15 mile walk on 10th May 2026, between The Fulham Marsden and The Sutton Marsden Hospitals.
