Together we walk in memory of our beautiful Kirsty fielding
Hello everyone, my name is Natalie.
I am fundraising to walk in memory of my beautiful niece Kirsty Louise Fielding.
Kirsty was just 28 years old, when she lost her battle to cancer. Not only was Kirsty a young woman with her whole life ahead of her, she was a much loved wife, daughter, niece, cousin, friend and most importantly a Mum to her incredible son Thomas.
Kirsty was diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer called Sarcoma in her left tricep in 2021, she was able to receive treatment (radio therapy and the removal of her tricep) at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea. After what we were told was successful treatment, on Thursday 8th September 2022 Kirsty was given the devastating news her cancer had returned. This time to her lungs, spreading and progressing fast around her body. Regrettably, the consultants followed the earth shattering news, informing Kirsty that due to lack of funding because of how rare this type of cancer was, there was nothing they could do for her.
Our world was broken but in true Kirsty style, it didn’t dampen her spirit and zest for life.
Kirsty fought hard, spending the majority of the remaining time she had left at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, she continued to demonstrate an enormous amount of strength and inspiring everyone in the process. Unfortunately, in just a short heartbreaking period of 6 weeks, on Saturday 22nd October 2022, Kirsty lost her battle to cancer at the tender age of 28 - leaving behind her then 2 year old son Thomas and 32 year old Husband Alex.
Everyday we strive as a family to keep Kirsty’s bubbly, unique, joyful spirit alive and create memories for her now 4 year old son to remember her by. Kirsty lived her life with an
‘I AM WHO I AM!’
mentality and we as a family always admired that about her.
This walk will not only be for the heart breaking battle Kirsty bravely fought but to remember the bright, colourful, Disney loving, beautiful person she truly was.
Thank you so much in advance for all of your donations, it will go to such an incredible cause and hopefully save a life, as precious as Kirsty’s one day.
We love you Worsty - we’ll see you past
‘the second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning.’
