Together we walk!

My annual post on social media! This year I have (foolishly?) signed up two separate challenges for the wonderful Royal Marsden Hospital.
Saturday 2nd May - South Downs Trek - 26 miles walk, with Edward.
Sunday 10th May - 15 mile walk from the Royal Marsden in London to the Royal Marsden in Sutton.
I cannot really put into words my admiration for the technical professionalism but also for the incredible kindness of all the staff at the Marsden. Their work is amazing . I have completed the Marsden March for about the last 10 years , sometimes with one or both of my boys (see an old picture on this post). It is an incredible event - the people taking place add messages of who they are walking for - sometimes it is for themselves, sometimes for friends and relatives who have unfortunately passed away following cancer diagnosis and treatment. Last year a mother gave the opening speech at the start of the walk, describing her daughter who passed away in her 20's .
Cancer will unfortunately impact on an estimated 1 in 2 people during their lifetimes. The Royal Marsden is doing a brilliant job to improve the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, which can have an awful impact on people's lives.
Please assist me in supporting the Royal Marsden by sponsoring me and the boys.
Many thanks!
