Why I’m walking
Tuesday 10th MarI’m walking the marsden march for both my grandads For me, it’s about remembering them, honouring their lives, and doing something positive in their name. Cancer affects so many families, and countless others, ours has felt its impact. Events like this remind us that by coming together, we can support the incredible work being done to help people facing this disease.
As I walk, I’ll be thinking about Billy and Pops — the memories we shared and the lessons they left behind. They’ll be with me in every step, every laugh along the route, and every moment when my legs start to ache but I keep going anyway.
This march is for them.
For Billy Dixon.
For Pops Basker.
And for every family who has been touched by cancer.
