Together we walk!

On Sunday 10 May, Lily and Ted will be taking part in the Marsden March to raise  vital funds for  The Royal Marsden. They will be walking a 5-mile route which will complete at The Royal Marsden in Sutton (one of the hospitals that Lily  knows very well). 

As many of you will know,  Lily was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at the tender age of 2 and a half years old. Over the next 3 years, she  endured daily chemotherapy,  weekly blood tests,  lumbar punctures every 3 months, countless courses of anti-biotics and blood transfers, multiple surgeries and a 3-month stay in St George's hospital following adverse   effects to  the  chemotherapy, to name just a few.  

In life, she will also have to face the longer lasting effects of the treatment  and it is because of this that we are raising funds  to go towards research for kinder  ways to   save  other children.    Lily suffered terribly with the effects of a brutal but life-saving treatment and it would be lovely to know that another  child wouldn't have to go through the same

The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre and there's no doubt that they saved Lily's life. By donating to our page, their nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments.
