Wagalan - Margaret/Bernice/Harvey/Debbie

I’m taking part in The Banham Marsden March to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. By donating to my page, you’ll be helping The Royal Marsden to revolutionise cancer treatment, and deliver world-leading care, saving the lives of cancer patients across the UK and around the world.

2 Years ago we lost Bernice on the day of the March - last year Margaret (my neighbour and   friend) lost the fight within months 😢of the March and I promised that we could have  a drink at the  North Star. I'll have to buy my own - but to the bravest lad of my journey with my  own personal ongoing journey with the Royal Marsden  - Harvey (under 30 and  a real light!) - "Wagalan" - = "Enjoy  Life" ❤️

(Debbie Mason fought like hell but lost the battle  17/8/17)

My updates

6th year completed

Monday 11th May
Great family day out - 5 miles to Hampton court and then a further 10 back to the North star.. The weather was just right as it meant the towpath wasn't so busy. Thanks to all - was amazed (and really proud) my son ran the course and did 1st ever "over half marathon!"

Ready for tomorrow

Saturday 9th May
Despite a little fall yesterday at school - I'm prepped and ready to walk - looking like we have a really good crew walking to Hampton court - so looking forward to watching families getting involved

Together we walk for the 6th Year

Saturday 28th Mar
This is the 6th Year of Marching At Home - raising valuable funds for The Royal Marsden Hospital. I was saved by Royal Marsden in 2019 and came off Chemo in 2023 - but still have CT scans every 6 months - looking forward to making those annual!! Walking in memory of Bernice, Margaret, Harvey and Debbie. Here's hoping this year's March is as fun as the previous ones!
