My Message To You♥️

I wanted to share a bit more about why this means so much to me.

Last year, just one month into starting my Masters degree in cancer science, my life completely changed when I was diagnosed with blood cancer- leukaemia. It still feels surreal writing that. One minute I was studying cancer, and the next I was living it.

The past few months have been some of the hardest of my life. Chemo has been intense, both physically and mentally, and there have been times where I’ve felt scared, exhausted, and completely out of my depth.

Throughout all of this, The Royal Marsden has been there for me. The care I’ve received has been nothing short of incredible. The doctors, nurses and staff have supported me through every step, not just medically but emotionally too. They’ve made an experience that could have felt unbearable feel safe and manageable.

I haven’t shared much about this publicly until now, but I’m in a place where I want to do something positive with it. Taking part in the Marsden March feels like a really important step for me, a way to give something back to the people and place that have done so much for me.
