Remembering my dad
Monday 16th MarCancer sucks. It turns lives upside down in ways no one is ever prepared for.
In 2021, our family experienced our greatest heartbreak when we lost my dad after his battle with multiple myeloma. He was diagnosed in 2020, and although multiple myeloma is treatable, it is still an incurable cancer. Watching someone you love go through that journey is something that stays with you forever.
To honour my dad, Rich and I are taking part in a charity walk to raise money for The Royal Marsden. The incredible team there are pioneers in cancer treatment and research, constantly running clinical trials and developing new ways to treat — and ultimately eradicate — cancer.
Every step we take on this walk is for my dad, for those currently fighting cancer, and for the loved ones we have sadly lost along the way.
