Together we walk!

I’m supporting The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. In 2023 my partner started to get very poorly to the point he would constantly throw up loose weight and slept in all day he has had numerous tests which at first he was diagnosed with addisons disease and neurosarcoidosis but along with all this going on he sadly lost he's sight and now is fully blind , 1st of April 2026 we got some test results back and they misdiagnosed him as he had mirroring symptoms but it was confirmed he actually has a rare form of cancer called non germinoma brain tumour , this news struck the whole family, its not only took the person we love the most but its took he's brain and nervous system away and it is serverly heart breaking to not know if he's mentally going to come back but me and our children hold onto hope and remember the person he was and the love we have for him in our hearts will only grow stronger for him as we are a strong unit together.

fighting for our jake

Tuesday 28th Apr

Watching my partner, the father of my children, lose his sight completely at just 26 years old while also being diagnosed with a rare cancer, a non-germinoma brain tumour, has been devastating beyond words. To see someone who was once so happy, healthy, active, and full of life slowly deteriorate has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to witness, and it has deeply affected me and our children, aged 7, 6, and 1. They have watched their dad go from being their strong, playful hero to facing unimaginable challenges, and as a family, we carry that heartbreak every single day. Sponsoring me for this 5-mile walk would mean so much to us, as it is not only a way to raise support but also a way to show Jake how deeply he is loved and how fiercely we are fighting beside him. We hold onto hope that one day we will have our Jake back mentally and physically, and every step of this walk is for him, for our family, and for the love that keeps us going through the darkest of times.
