Wednesday 29th AprLast time, I started moaning from about mile 6… so this year I’ve added an extra challenge: I am not allowed to moan about my sore legs for the entire walk!!
Honestly, that may be the hardest part of the whole event—but I’m determined to try.
We are walking in memory of all the families I’ve had the privilege to meet through my role as a palliative care and cancer social worker. Their strength, love, courage, and resilience stay with me every day.
This walk is for them, and for the incredible work that supports people and families facing the hardest of times.
