Walking for Mum (Jackie) & Others
On May 10th, 2026, I’ll be walking 15 miles for my mum — and for so many others we’ve loved and lost.
In December, my mum was diagnosed with Secondary (metastatic) Breast Cancer in the bone, after already fighting and overcoming breast cancer back in 2019. Seeing her go through this again is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, but if there’s one thing I know, it’s how strong she is.
This walk is for her strength, her courage, and everything she continues to face every single day.
Watching someone you love go through this not once, but twice, is something I can’t fully put into words. But if there’s one thing I can say, it’s how unbelievably strong she is. She keeps going, every single day, even when it’s tough — and that’s why I’m doing this.
This walk isn’t just for my mum. It’s for my nan, and for the family friends we’ve lost to cancer — people who should still be here, who are missed every day, and who remind me why this matters so much.
I’m doing this to support the work of The Royal Marsden, who care for people like my mum and continue to fight for better treatments and outcomes for everyone facing cancer.
