In memory of Jamie – our “Uncle Jamo” 🤍

Jamie wasn’t just a family friend to us, he was our Uncle in every way that mattered. He proudly called himself “Uncle Jamo” and never missed a chance to tell people I was his niece – something I’ll always hold so close to my heart.

He went through more in his life than most ever will. He fought and beat lung cancer, testicular cancer, and learned to live with a stoma bag – challenges that would break so many. But Jamie? He never let any of it define him. And even when a brain tumour ultimately took him from us, it never took who he was.

The last few years of his life weren’t easy, but you would never have known. He lived as if nothing was wrong – always smiling, always laughing, always cracking jokes right up until the very end. He had this incredible way of making everyone around him feel lighter, happier, and loved.

Jamie loved deeply and fiercely. He cared so much about the people closest to him, and that love never went unnoticed. He was, without a doubt, one of the most courageous and bravest men I have ever known.

My brother and I are doing this charity walk for The Royal Marsden in his memory – to honour everything he went through, and the strength he showed every single day.
