Walking to support Jamie White
On 11th May '25 I’m walking 15 miles between the Royal Marsden Hospital Chelsea to Royal Marsden Sutton to support the world-leading cancer centre.
I'll be walking the full 15miles carrying my 35lb Bergen, on behalf and supporting my friend and colleague, Jamie White. Jamie has been suffering from Lymphoma & Kidney Cancer.
Fortunately, for him, he starts a new trial in January, after being referred to The Marsden in Sutton from his home town in Sheffield. He's only the 2nd person in the UK to be referred for this trial. We pray for success.
By donating to my page, their nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. Together, we can transform the lives of cancer patients. Please support me today.
As a cancer survivor myself, having been diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2006, I have a very personal reason for wanting to raise funds for the incredible "Royal Marsden Hospital”. I am one of the lucky ones that survived this terrible disease, but I have tragically lost many friends and family members to cancer, including, my own father.
I hope that you will support me, Jamie and the Marsden by contributing what you can.
We must act now.
One in two people will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, meaning more and more people will need our help.
Thank you for your support.

Big Bergen is Back
Monday 25th Nov As a cancer survivor myself, having been diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2006, I have a very personal reason for wanting to raise funds for the incredible "Marsden Cancer Hospitals". I am one of the lucky ones that survived this terrible disease, but I have tragically lost many friends and family members to cancer, including, most recently my own father. So I am participating in the "Banham Marsden March" charity walk which involves covering a distance of 15miles from The Royal Marsden Hospital Chelsea across London to The Royal Marsden Hospital Sutton”, on Saturday 11th May 2025. I hope that you will support me and the Marsden by contributing what you can to this amazing cause.
Cancer has impacted mine and my family’s life dramatically claiming the lives of my father in July 2019, my wife's Uncle in Lockdown in July 2020, my sister-in-law in 2018 and my mother-in-law in 2014.
We must act now.
