My sister Mary.

My sister Mary was diagnosed with myeloma in 2007.
She fought for 3 years and in 2010 was told that a stem cell transplant might be beneficial.
I was more than happy to donate my cells to help Mary having had tests & confirmation that I was a,match.
The procedure was carried out at The Royal Marsden Sutton in June 2010.
It was an agonising wait to find out if the procedure had been a success.
Mary finally succumbed to the myeloma in January 2017 almost 10 years since she was diagnosed.
I'm convinced that if it wasn't for the treatment & care she was given by the staff at The Royal Marsden the 10 years she lived with this would have been unbearable.
Thank you Royal Marsden for everything you did for Mary & everyone else affected by cancer.
