Together we walk in Memory of Darren

I’m walking to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. By donating to my page, their nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. Together, we can transform the lives of cancer patients. Please support me today in memory of my Darling Brother Darren, who fought so hard for 14 months. He will forever be our Warrior x

Why I’m doing the Marsden March… ❤️

Tuesday 3rd Dec

I am doing the Marsden March for my Warrior Brother, Darren Gooch. Darren was diagnosed with Primary CNS Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (brain) in September 2023 after having a seizure at home in July 2023.

Darren underwent all treatment at the Marsden in Sutton - 4 rounds of HD Matrix Chemotherapy, a Stem Cell Transplant & 20 Sessions of WBRT. I have never known someone so strong and determined to beat such a cruel illness. He endured so much in a short 14 months - multiple seizures, a stay in ICU, Sepsis and not to mention all the symptoms of his illness. The staff treated him and our family with so much love, care and respect throughout his journey and always with so much hope that he would reach a full stage of remission.

Sadly, Darren’s illness was too aggressive and he didn’t reach a full stage of remission. Our hearts broke and world turned upside down when we lost him on 8th September this year. Life has been unbearable without him. I miss my big Brother so very much every single day. He had so much to live for - his wife and 3 children, his family and friends, his business and just his general love of life itself!

So - my family, friends and I are marching for Darren to raise as much money as possible for the Marsden. This will help the Marsden continue to treat cancer patients and to provide a high level of care. The Marsden is an incredible place for cancer patients and offers so much support to families going through such a difficult time. Another reason I am doing this is a thank you to all the people who so kindly donated to Darren’s Just Giving page which helped his wife and children financially and to make special memories that will last a lifetime.

We want to make Darren proud and also he would be laughing at me as he knows how much I hate walking 😂

Please donate whatever you can to help such an amazing Charity!

Thank you so much x
