Sanderstead 62'ers
Linda, Nicky and I, , a select group of baby boomers from 1962 (great year !) are taking part in the Marsden March this May, to raise necessary funds for the wonderful Royal Marsden.
All three know far too many family members, friends and colleagues who have had to deal with diagnoses which have come round the corner to stop them in their tracks suddenly. This walk is for them and others who need the excellent support offered by the Marsden .
Personally, I have undergone surgery and had follow up treatment at the Marsden hospitals on two occasions, in 2015, and then again in autumn 2024. Whilst no-one would choose to be in hospital or in those circumstances, I could not have wished for better treatment and care...it is truly world class and I consider myself very lucky to have these centres of excellence so close to home.
I'm very happy to join the fundraising cause and to make it a post-surgery return to fitness goal!
