Together we walk!
I am taking part in the Marsden March with my husband, because we have personal experience of the amazing benefits of the treatments the Royal Marsden Hospital provides. I did not expect him to be walking with me today.
In 2023, my husband, Richard Bosworth, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Thanks to the leading position of the Royal Marsden Hospital in cancer treatment, he was able to be admitted to a clinical trial of a new therapy, CAR-T, which modifies the patient's own T-cells (part of the immune system) to fight the disease.
The treatment was incredibly successful and he is now nearly two years into remission, with no sign of the cancer returning.
I urge you to sponsor me in the Marsden March and help other patients benefit from CAR-T and other ground-breaking treatments that the Royal Marsden is pioneering.
