Another Year, Even More Reason to Walk...

Tuesday 12th May
As most of you know, I lost my father to cancer nearly 40years ago now.  Then after deciding that I couldn't complete my Oncology speciality training 15yrs ago...I  have been walking every year to raise money for the amazing work that all the clinicians, scientists, researchers, and many many supporting specialities do...day in and day out to progress our knowledge & treatment of cancer...saving and improving the lives of all affected by cancer in one way or another.

Last July, cancer knocked on my families door again and shook us to the core. My beloved 4year old niece was diagnosed with kidney cancer...we were all distraught! We united in prayer and support and together with the amazing teams at Darent Valley, St Georges Hospital, Royal Marsden Sutton...we watched her celebrate her 5th birthday, start Primary school and return to entertaining us with her singing and dance routines, of which Beyonce could learn a few moves from!!
And this is all thanks to the blessing of talented dedicated scientists,  clinicians, pharma giants and researchers...
So this year (and I know I'm always asking) I am pleading for you all to contribute whatever you can, so that the Royal Marsden can keep doing the amazing job that they continue to do.
Even just £1 will contribute to the cost of that research fellow staying late, dedicated to finding the right drug composition that will stop someone from losing their hair as a result of this new cancer drug that they are developing...
So please dig deep people...
