Together we walk!
Three of my friends and I are walking to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. By donating to our page, their nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. Together, we can transform the lives of cancer patients. Please support us today.
Cancer is something that has affected the lives of so many people. Most people know at least one person in their lives who has been affected by cancer or they may have been affected by cancer themselves. The affect it takes on one's physical and mental health is devastating. Your body is never the same after going through it. Each of us who are doing this march have seen this happen to our loved ones and have seen or experienced the toll it takes on entire families.
"I am marching for my mum. She has battled breast cancer 3 times over the span of 11 years. It has been such a tough battle for her and my family - but she is a fighter. An indomitable fighter. I'm so proud to call her my mum because she has gone through so much and yet still continues to go about her day and save lives of others every day for the NHS. I am also marching for my primary school classmate, who unfortunately passed away in the summer before Year 7, due to cancer. May God continue to watch over his soul".
"I am marching for my dad. he battled this year and I am very glad to say that he is cancer free. This is thanks to the research that has been done, and I want everyone to be able to experience that feeling of freedom that me and my family were able to feel once he had been cured".
“My Nana passed away from cancer when I was younger. She was this brave, resilient woman who wouldn't take no for an answer but in the end cancer didn't care. My grandad is currently going through treatment. One of my close friends has been diagnosed, and this year I had a wake-up call when I went for a cancer screening. Thankfully, it was benign, but it made me realize that cancer can affect anyone. This is why I'm doing the march—for those we've lost and those still fighting. It’s a chance to raise money with the hope that one day, we’ll find a cure”.
“I’ve seen so many stories of cancer dictating a persons path, there is an immense amount of work to free people from being defined from this disease, to bring good news to families and loved ones and I want to help that be even more accessible through raising money”.
We want to make a difference and try our best to stop this disease from hurting so many of our loved ones. If you can, any donations would be massively appreciated to help us put a stop to cancer. Thank you :)

Well done ladies, it's such an important cause. Research is the answer and it costs so much money to carry out so this will help many people. I wish you all the very best for your challenge. Remember to hydrate!
