Why I’m Walking the Marsden March This Weekend
This weekend I’ll be taking on the Marsden March to support the incredible work of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
This will be my third year taking part in the walk, and once again I’ll be completing the full 15-mile route alongside thousands of others, travelling between the Royal Marsden hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton to help raise money for life-saving research, treatment and care for people affected by cancer.
This charity is especially close to my heart. Both my mum and my nan have been treated at The Royal Marsden, and my grandad was a patient transport driver for the hospital, helping patients get to the care they needed. Supporting the Marsden March feels like a small way to give something back to a place that has meant so much to my family over the years.
Like so many people, I know how much cancer touches families, friends and communities. The work carried out by The Royal Marsden makes a real difference — from developing pioneering treatments to supporting patients through some of the toughest moments of their lives.
If you’re able to support me, I’d be hugely grateful. Thank you so much for your kindness, encouragement and donations — they really do mean a lot.
