In Memory of Mark: Our Second Banham Marsden March

Thursday 23rd Apr
Our family will be taking part in the Banham Marsden March for the second time this year, walking in memory of my uncle Mark, who sadly lost his battle with cancer after being treated at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

This walk is our way of remembering him while supporting the hospital that cared for him and continues to lead vital cancer treatment and research. It holds particular meaning for us as a family.

We will be walking again with our 8-year-old daughter, who is starting to understand the importance of the event and why we take part.

I also work at The Royal Marsden Hospital as a social worker, supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer. This gives me a daily insight into the challenges families face and strengthens my commitment to supporting the hospital’s work in every way I can.

For us, the Marsden March is a simple but powerful way to remember Uncle Mark, support patients and families, and stand behind the work of the hospital that connects both my personal and professional life.
