Together we walk!
We are joining The Marsden March to support The Royal Marsden in its research and care for cancer patients. Our team name reflects my fantastic family who kept my spirits up during some very dark moments.
In March 2024 out of the blue I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of leukaemia which devastated our family. I was transferred to The Royal Marsden in Sutton within 36 hours to receive in-patient treatment for 4 weeks followed by months of weekly outpatient treatments at the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre. Thanks to the progress over the last 30 years what would have been a death sentence, until relatively recently, is now a very treatable type of leukaemia and I am now cancer free.
I received amazing care and support from everyone at the hospital and as a family we want to raise funds for The Royal Marsden to continue with the research and trials it is known for worldwide.
