Wednesday 21st Jan As you can see that’s how my / our photo has appeared . My husband has had an AML stem cell transplant not once but twice ! The first in 2013 the second during the COVID period in 2022. Both part of trials for older people so just before 60 and the latter just before 70 . It was The Royal Marsden that took the latest risk when other hospitals would not and as a result he has survived to see 6 fantastic grandchildren be born and we have been blessed to share so many wonderful moments with family and friends together .We can never thank the teams that have provided the trust and care in his treatment enough . I have walked on behalf of Banham Marsden Trust but this third time will be very special as my husband is going to walk too which says it all . So thank you The Royal Marsden for all you do re research , medical interventions and constant care .
