Together we walk!
I’m supporting The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. While I know not everyone with cancer makes it through their journey the work of the medics, clinicians, researchers and the hospital makes a difference. I'll walk remembering those for who, like our Guiding friend Sue, the research and science was not enough but hope was felt even at the end,. I'll walk for those newly diagnosed that will be guided on a route for their journey . I'll walk feeling thankful for having the chance to do this.

Saturday 9th May This year I decided not to do this walk, then I thought I'd volunteer, I thought I'd have a break from it, I thought I'd be away, I thought I was not fit enough to attempt it, I thought health was not helping me too much to be able to do this, I think a lot of things.........the night before the sign up closed I thought I actually should do this again and as I could do the 15miles last year I can do it this year! I will walk on my own but I certainly won't be alone. Regardless of all my thoughts I am grateful for the chance to do such things and gratitude needs to sit with the Royal Marsden.......I may need to set reminders for various points along the route but I have got this (and water wings as we are supposed to have some of the wet stuff on route)!
