Training walk #3 08/05/2026
Saturday 9th May Afternoon saunter to the supermarket to try out the lightweight walking shoes and pick up ingredients for a paella. A squirrel stood stock still in the park about a metre away from. I stopped. We then had a bit of a showdown as to which one of us would move first. I won! Alas only four miles or so, but the shoes were comfortable. Sharetraining walk #2 03/05/2026
Thursday 7th May From Brentford Lock to home along the canal and river Brent. Cool, grey day. Spotted a little grebe in the canal, and a greater whitethroat in the local park. Lots of green alkanet, rapeseed, red campion, oxeye daisies, cowparsley, poppies, cornflowers, and many other wild flowers along the way. About 6 miles.training walk #1 26/04/2026
