Together we walk!
11 years after walking with my dear friend Ruli I’m taking part in The Banham Marsden March again but sadly this time in her memory and the memory of another dear friend Julie, both of whom lost their remarkably brave, inspiring and gracious battles with the disease in January and February of this year.
Witnessing the clinical skill and care of The Marsden in so many ways and, not least for Ruli, the nursing care she received in the final months of her life was inspiring and its humbling to be able to support their work in this small way.
By donating to my page, you’ll be helping The Royal Marsden to revolutionise cancer treatment, and deliver world-leading care, saving the lives of cancer patients across the UK and around the world.
Having had major head surgery myself 6 weeks ago I plan to walk the distance 'from home' in the next dew days. I have a lovely 25km route planned which will take me past the Chelsea Marsden hospital - a place with many poignant and happy memories for me of visiting dear Ruli.
