Resilience!!!

Monday 10th Feb
If you were asked what resilience means to you - what would you say?
I'd say - my family and what we've shown over the last 2 years - especially parents. 
Mum was literally on deaths door when she first walked through Marsden's doors - it was touch and go whether she could have chemo - without it, we were looking at 6 months of our beautiful Mum. The Oncology team took the risk, and we are so thankful they did - Mum did a whole 180 and was up and down the stairs, out and about - from being in a wheelchair and hardly being to walk, to being like her old self. This was from July 2023!! Mum just wanted to see Xmas, we've now had 2 and she's still going strong (well semi strong)!! Mum sadly can no longer have treatment, but she's getting the best care and still gives everyone a run for their money!! 
Dad then joined in, in September 2024 with a brain tumour - he took everyday in his stride - from brain surgery, to his ongoing cancer treatment - with his little catch phrase of, it is what it is, what's the point in worrying. 
Me, Rich and Ju have been to countless appointments, run up and down the stairs more times than I care to much, and just been there for each. 
Our family - is the epitomy of reslience!!
