Walking the Marsden March 2025

Wednesday 19th Feb
I'm walking the Marsden March again this year for two very important reasons. 
Firstly, I'm walking in memory of my late husband, Mark. The Royal Marsden was always a favourite charity of Mark's, and in lieu of flowers, after his death we collected for the charity. 
His mum, Pat, spent her last few weeks at the Marsden in Chelsea and the team looked after her, and indeed us, with such compassion and empathy that it left a lasting legacy with our family. 
Secondly  the Teenage Cancer Unit has treated three of our family and friends over recent years.  The gold standard of care which they received for Leukemia, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma was outstanding. And whilst the diagnosis of cancer at such a young age was utterly devastating, the care and support they each received has been outstanding.
