Walking to support the great work of the Marsden

We are very fortunate to have the Royal Marsden close to where we live.  We know so many friends who have been supported through their cancer journey at the Marsden.

Over the last couple of years the Marsden became directly part of our lives.   They were unbelievable in supporting me through my Prostate cancer treatment.  All the Marsden staff and volunteers are amazingly caring, friendly and positive, and they made a stressful process much more bearable, not just for me but for our family.  For example each day visiting for Radiotherapy treatment the nurses started by asking how I was, this was not a form of greeting, but a genuine concern for how I was feeling as the treatment progressed, and they were immediately ready to help with any issues.

Currently I'm well, with a very low PSA and I'm hoping to finish hormone therapy later this year,  so Daisy and I decided to walk 15 miles to raise money for both the treatment and research for this world-leading cancer facility.

By donating to our page, their nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments. Together, we can save the lives of cancer patients everywhere.
