For Gem

Jane and I are walking again  in memory of the amazing, beautiful and kind Gem. It's been running 15 since we started doing this to raise money for the hospital that cared and looked after Gem in the most challenging years of her life. Gem was able to participate in 2 before she sadly passed, she was 31.

Words that Gem has written previously..

As some of you may know, I have been treated by the team at The Royal Marsden since November 2010. I have had six major surgeries, chemotherapy and am about to embark on a course of intensive radiotherapy. This hospital is outstanding and their pioneering research helps the 1 in 3 of us affected by cancer to get the best possible treatment. I did the Marsden March last year, 3 1/2 weeks after major surgery on my leg. It meant the world to me to achieve this goal, and I managed to against all odds. The team are up for it again this year and wish to raise as much money as possible. Please, please donate whatever you can. Every penny counts.
