Walkie Talkie Family – Marsden March 2026

Thank you so much for visiting our sponsorship page. Yes… we’re doing it again. And we’re proud to.

This walk means a huge amount to our family. Our wonderful Mum and Grandma passed away 18 years ago. She worked at the Royal Marsden and later became a patient there, and the care she received was nothing short of extraordinary. The kindness shown to her — and to us — by her colleagues and friends is something we will never forget.

This year we’ll be marching as the Walkie Talkie Family. It’s the perfect name for us: we love walking, we love talking, and this gives us the chance to do both while honoring the people who shaped our lives.

The walkers this year are Louise, Rachel, William and Evelyn. Dad/Brian won’t be doing the full route, but he’ll be meeting us along the way to cheer us on and walk a little bit with us. As someone who has been successfully treated by the Marsden, he’s a huge part of why this cause matters so deeply to us.

As we walk, we’ll be thinking of those we’ve lost:
Pa, Auntie Val, Patricia, Chris, Steve, Harry/Grandpa, and Frank.

And we’ll be celebrating those who have been successfully treated:
Angela, Melanie, and our Dad/Grandad.

We’ll also be holding close in our thoughts those who are going through treatment right now:
Steve and Vanessa.

Every step is for them. Every mile is for the Marsden. And every donation — big or small — genuinely makes a difference.
