Together we walk!

I'm walking for my mum (Daphne) who has been a patient at the Royal Marsden since 2019 being diagnosed with ovarian cancer she has had multiple rounds of chemotherapy.  In 2023 she had a reoccurrence of ovarian cancer needing an operation and further chemotherapy  treatment. Later that year she was diagnosed with breast cancer, had an operation in January 2024 followed by radiotherapy. She is having CT scans every 3 months for the foreseeable future. My mums care and treatment at the Marsden has been incredible and continues to be so. Any donations to this amazing hospital would be gratefully received. In April 2024 on her routine CT scan a further Ovarian cancer reoccurrence was discovered. In June 2024 she had another big operation to remove the cancer. It took until the end of September until she had recovered from the operation  due to complications. Also on the April CT scan a problem was discovered on her lung resulting in various scans and investigations being required. This continues to be monitored.

Without the constant love and supports of my wonderful family and fantastic friends my journey with this terrible disease would be so much harder to bear.

I would like to say a very big Thank you to everyone in the past who has sponsored the Banham March walk; and of course anyone who  would like to sponsor Andy Elliott and Alexander again on this walk. Sponsorship is really important to enable The Royal Marsden Chelsea to continue the incredible treatment, care and vital research.
