Supporting the Nursing Ninjas - Walking for a Cause That Touches Us All

Friday 11th Apr

Every step counts. That's what I keep telling myself as I prepare for this year's Marsden March, a meaningful 15-mile journey from The Royal Marsden Chelsea to The Royal Marsden Sutton on Sunday, 11th May 2025.

Why I'm Marching

Cancer doesn't discriminate. The recent statistics tell us that approximately 1 in 2 people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Behind this stark number are countless personal stories - stories of courage, resilience, and hope.

My connection to this cause runs deep. My partner Carike works as an oncology nurse at The Royal Marsden, where every day she and her colleagues witness both the challenges and triumphs in cancer care. Their dedication to patient care and unwavering commitment to making a difference inspires me daily.

This May, I'll be joining Carike and her fellow nurses in the Marsden March. Together, we'll walk those 15 miles not just as participants, but as part of a larger community united in the fight against cancer.
