This March marks five years since I lost my Uncle Mike to cancer. He was only 57. I don’t remember much about what happened around that time, it’s a bit of a blur. I think that was my way of coping. What I do know is that the Royal Marsden helped him, me, and my family in so many ways, as they have done for thousands of others.
My mum and I are signed up to do the Marsden March in May both in his memory and, sadly, all the others loved ones we’ve lost to this horrible disease (my Nan especially). This is my way of saying I’ll never forget them – their influence and guidance is with me every day.
I’ll be grateful for any sponsorship you can give – to raise funds for Royal Marsden who not only continue to support people and their families through cancer, but who are also developing life-saving treatments.
