This year’s Banham Marsden March marks nearly 8 years of me living with cancer and over 6 with Stage 4 bowel cancer. The last few months have been tough, more progression, more surgeries and newly licensed drugs with horrible side effects. I’m lucky though, while it’s not how I thought life would be in my 50’s, I am incredibly well cared for at the Royal Marsden, it’s my second home.

Other dear friends including Cathy & Sarah have also joined the cancer club, the one nobody wants to be in! They’ve both been treated at the new Oak Centre funded by the Marsden charity. Our lovely Cathy is facing another surgery - it’s an extra incentive for our team to raise money for research & bespoke treatment paths. We are also walking to remember those no longer with us, including Jo B’s dad & Lizzie.

Please get in touch if you’re able to join ‘Debbie’s Friends & Family Team’ walking between the two Marsden hospitals on Sunday 11th May.
