My story
Tuesday 14th AprI’m taking part in this charity walk in memory of my cousin, Jason, known to so many as “Jase the Ace."
Jason's journey began back in November 2023, what first seemed like a simple abscess and a visit to the dentist. But in the months that followed, things took a devastating turn. In April/May 2024, a biopsy for a suspected tumour led to complications and sepsis. From that moment on, he was thrown into a battle no one should have to face.
Jason sadly passed away on 6th February 2025 after a relentless and courageous fight with multiple myeloma, which spread to 90% of his bones. In just nine months, he endured chemotherapy, multiple bone marrow biopsies, and ten sessions of radiotherapy. Despite everything, he never gave up.
Right until the very end, Jason showed incredible strength, resilience, and determination. But he was so much more than his illness. He was full of life, someone who brought energy and spirit wherever he went. An avid supporter of Feasty Fest, with a stage dedicated in his name, he held onto the things he loved and did all he could to keep battling on, even during his toughest days.
This walk is for Jason, for his courage, his fight, and the memories he leaves behind. It’s also for everyone affected by cancer, and for the hope that one day, no one has to go through what he did.
If you’re able to support, donate, or even just share this, it would mean the world. Let’s honour Jase the Ace the way he deserves—by continuing the fight.
Thankyou.
