Together we walk!
On the 12th of May, I'm taking part in the Banham Marsden March. In September, I began working at the Royal Marsden as part of the Clinical Genomics team, however the Royal Marsden has always been a big part of my life. My Mum was treated at the Marsden for Breast Cancer in the Chelsea hospital and had the opportunity to be part of a clinical trial at the Sutton hospital, before sadly passing in 2016. In 2021, I underwent genetic testing with the Marsden to see if I carry the same BRCA mutation my Mum did, fortunately it came back all clear.
Me and my friends will be walking 15 miles from Chelsea to Sutton to honour and remember loved ones, whilst raising money for the fight against cancer.
